ICAMP 2021

Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS Rohini Sector-5) in collaboration with NILAI University, Malaysia, organised International Conference on Advances in Management Practices (ICAMP 2021) on 17th December and 18th December 2021 in the JIMS Rohini Campus. The much-awaited conference gathered under one-roof eminent dignitaries, University Educators, Research Scholars, Corporate Practitioners, Entrepreneurs, Consultants, and Research Scholars to present their research papers from multidisciplinary fields.

The conference began with the inaugural address by Dr Pooja Jain (Director, JIMS Rohini) as she continued to inspire people from academic background to put strenuous efforts in defining the future of education sector in India from which various sectors of the industry can benefit immensely.

On the first day of ICMAP 2021, three tracks were conducted namely Marketing Session chaired by Mr Umesh Rao, Advisor, Divine Connexions and co-chaired by Dr Bhavneet Kaur, Professor (JIMS) and Dr Amisha Gupta, Assistant Professor (JIMS). Track two was based on Finance theme which was chaired by Dr Feroj Khan, Eminent Researcher and Director, S&F Commerce Academy and co-chaired by Dr Deepika Saxena, Dean, PGDM-RM (JIMS) and Dr Sonia Dhir, Associate Professor (JIMS). The session coordinator for this session was Ms. Nihanshi Goyal. The third track of the day was chaired by Dr Tazeen Rehman, Eminent Researcher and Author and co-chaired by Dr Deepti Kakar, Professor, (JIMS) and Ambika Bhatia, Associate Professor (JIMS). The student session was coordinated by Ms. Ritika Ladha.

Finally, the First day of the ICMAP 2021 was concluded with a knowledge imparting workshop on “Teaching Beyond Traditional Platforms” which was conducted by Akhil Sharma, Senior Director, OLA.

The second day of the ICAMP 2021 began on a high note with panel discussions on “Future of Research: Collaboration between Industry and Academia” that witnessed keynote speakers deliberate passionately expressing their opinions, suggestions and the way forward. Dr Shri Prakash, Former Professor of Eminence (BIMTECH), Prof. Pratibha Wasan, Associate Professor (FORE School of Management), Ms. Neelanjana, HR Manager (Protiviti) and Mr. Vivek Khattar, Independent Market Research Consultant. Dr Bhupender Kumar Som, Deputy Director, FIIB moderated the panel discussion that highlighted disruptions taking place in the domain of research and the birth of breakthrough innovative ideas that made sense for the business in current times.

On the Second day of the conference, session on human resource management was conducted that was chaired by Dr Puja Khatri, Professor, GGSIPU and co-chaired by Dr Neelam Dhall, Dean, Research and Development (JIMS) and Dr Heena Bhardwaj, Assistant Professor (JIMS). The Session was well-coordinated by Mr. Deepak Sharma. Track five was based on General Management being chaired by Dr Aastha Verma, Assistant Professor (NSIT) and co-chaired by Dr Deepti Kakar, Professor (JIMS) and Dr Avijit Chakravarty, Associate Professor (JIMS) with Ms. Heena Arora being the session coordinator.

The last track of the event was a Student Session chaired by Dr Sangeeta Malik, Professor, MAIMS and co-chaired by Mr. Sunny Seth, Assistant Professor (JIMS) and Sugandha, Assistant Professor, JIMS. Ms. Shabnam Kumari took the responsibility of Session Coordinator for the track.

The ICAMP concluded with a Valedictory Session wherein Dr Pratima Daipuria, Dean, Department of Management – PGDM rewarded participants from several tracks with certificates and mementoes for their valuable contribution in the domain of research. The final vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Yukti Ahuja, Dean, PGDM – IB (JIMS).

In a nutshell, the International Conference was a grand success as we welcomed participation/ submissions from several research scholars and faculty members that will be published in ABDC & Scopus indexed journals.
